"No true Scotsman among sea monsters"

Films: The Loch Ness Horror (1982)

Alias: None

Type: Ancient

Location: Lake/Forest

Height/Weight: That of a giraffe.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Ah, the most recognizable lake monster of them all. The plesiosaur that inhabits the cold reaches of Loch Ness has eluded sight for decades, but it only takes a couple of bad apples to rile her up into scaring everyone off.

History: There are the scientists, and the hunters who kill for profit. Both wish to plunder the Scottish loch for its secrets, be it the Nazi plane wreck at the bottom, or the famous Loch Ness monster. Unfortunately for both, the capture of the beast's egg makes her irate enough to forgo escaping man's eye, and attack everyone involved.

Notable Kills: A particularly nasty one is when she drags a man into the lake while he's still in his sleeping bag.

Final Fate: Nessie's rampage is cut short when she and the wreck get bombed to pieces in the water. However, the egg is still out there...

Powers/Abilities: Immune to bullets, apparently.

Weakness: Explosives.

Scariness Factor: 2-Ultimately, Nessie's a poor plastic prop stiff as a stick, so fright sort of falls flat. That tie-fighter noise she makes is a bit off-putting, though. Also, she emits smoke for some reason.

Trivia: -This wouldn't be the last time we saw this particular Nessie prop. She would appear again donned in a Jack the Ripper outfit playing as the famous killer in the bizarre 1987 comedy, "Amazon Women on the Moon".

-Nary a single scene in this film was filmed in Scotland. It was all in Lake Tahoe, California.
